Refurbished comes from the English word to refurbish, which means to repair or renew. A refurbished device may have been used before and has undergone extensive checks, been repaired where necessary and prepared for a new owner.
At Forza, we sum it up in four words: checked, repaired, guaranteed and well-priced. This is refurbished.
Where do refurbished devices come from?
A refurbished device has often already had a first life. It may have been someone's iPhone after they upgraded to a newer model, or a company's MacBook after it replaced its equipment. Wherever a device comes from, at Forza it always goes through the same checks before it reaches you.
Do you have a device that you no longer use? Then you can sell it to us. We will prepare it for use again, so your device can have a second life with someone else.
What happens to a device before it reaches you?
A device does not simply end up in our online shop. Every device first follows a set process at Forza.
1. Testing
Every device undergoes our 50-point test. Half of the tests are carried out by a specialised robot, while the other half are performed by one of our specialists. Among other things, we check the screen, cameras, Face ID or Touch ID, the speaker and microphone, and connections such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.
2. Repairing (if necessary)
If something comes to light during the test, our technicians repair the device in our own workshop. It then goes through the test again.
3. Assessing the appearance
Every device is assessed externally and then assigned one of the following grades:

Lightly used (most popular)
Visibly used
4. Preparing it for you
The device is fully reset to its factory settings, so you can start with a clean slate. Only when everything is in order is it listed in our online shop with a 3-year warranty.
Does a refurbished device look like new?
That depends on its condition. A refurbished device works perfectly from a technical perspective, but may have minor signs of use. For every device in our online shop, you can see its condition, so you know in advance what to expect.
