For every refurbished device in our online shop, you can choose a condition: like new, lightly used or visibly used. This condition only says something about the outside of the device. Inside, all devices are the same: technically fully functional.
First of all: the performance is always the same
Whatever condition you choose, every device is:
- tested on more than 50 points
- repaired in our own workshop where necessary
- 100% technically functional
- covered by a 3-year warranty
The only difference between the conditions is the appearance. This applies to all our devices: iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, MacBook and Samsung.
Like new
A device in like-new condition is barely distinguishable from a new device. There are no signs of use, or at most a few minimal marks that are barely visible to the naked eye.
For example, it could be a device that was returned almost immediately after purchase, or one that the previous owner used in a case with a screen protector from day one.
Choose this condition if you want a device that looks as neat as possible.
Lightly used
A lightly used device has several light signs of use, such as small scratches on the casing or screen. It looks slightly less pristine than a device in like-new condition, but you often only notice the marks if you look closely.
Choose this condition if you want a good-looking device and don't mind a few small marks.
Visibly used
A visibly used device has several signs of use that are visible to the naked eye. They may also be somewhat deeper, and can be found on both the screen and the casing. This does not affect how the device works.
Choose this condition if you mainly want a device that works well and appearance is less important to you. Do you use a case anyway? Then you will see very little of the marks on the casing.

How does the condition affect the price?
The more signs of use a device has, the lower the price. So, with your choice, you decide the balance between appearance and price.
Are the conditions the same everywhere?
They are with providers that carry the Refurbished Quality Mark. Within the quality mark, the same three conditions apply with fixed definitions. This means you know exactly what to expect.
